We have a client who recently upgraded to Windows 10. When they turn on their machine the Adagio icons are broken (showing the generic windows pic). So they reboot and when they do all is good. Icons look normal.

We assumed they got corrupted on the update so we did the standard icon cache rebuild (both ways manually and command prompt) and no go each time.

We have noticed this subject posted before a while ago and Bob Weisner mentioned using a Google tool to fix. Still not sure if we should go that route or anyone with other suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi John

Where did you come up with the assumption that icons would get corrupted on an update? I read this forum religiously and I've never seen the cause and effect.

If Adagio is working fine but the icons are generic, try finding the EXE file itself (for example \Softrak\Ledger\Ledger.EXE) and note whether that file has the Adagio icon. If it does, send it to the desktop as a shortcut, and you should be set.

Steve
