There is a field "Reason" when entering Adjustments, however once the Adjustment is posted, I cannot find this field in the transaction history data. Where can it be found to use in reports/analysis?

This information is only printed on the posting journal, it is not stored in the database (only the Reference field is stored).

Hi Vickie, I came across this problem 4 years ago. When doing Dayend we no longer "Print/Consolidate G\L Transactions". When we go into inventory and "Print Adjustments Audit List" the reasons are there!

One of the problems is that if you clear the audit list, the information is lost for good (not 100% true but it is extremely difficult to retrieve). What I do is use GridView to pull all the required adjustment information into a view before clearing the audit list and then export the view to Excel. I can then use the information for any other reports I may need. I then clear the audit list. Of course, you could just never clear the audit list.

The Inventory 93A (19.10.23) Upgrade has been released.

Reason Code and Reason Description have been added to all transaction types. For new Transactions, they will also be displayed through Historical Transaction Inquiry.
