When I am doing the Direct Deposit EFT email, Outlook makes me have to ‘Allow’ each Vendor email individually.
• I click on Email
• Click on Email Queue
• Highlight the new invoices to be emailed
• Click Send
o A pop up asks me if I want to send 123… Emails
o I click on Yes
• This is when the pop up asks me "A program is trying to access email address information stored in Outlook." I then click 'Allow and have to do this for each individual Vendor

I want to be able to send all at once, like my coworkers can.

Troubleshooting:
-I have gone into my outlook's Trust Centre settings-> programmatic Access and set access to never warn me about suspicious activity

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Amanda:

Adagio can be configured to send emails 3 ways: [1] MAPI (your current setting), [2] Direct (goes directly to your email server, bypasses Outlook), [3] Outlook (available in Payables 9.3A; does not ask for permission on every email).

The configuration can be different for each user. Therefore I suggest looking at how the other users have configured their systems (go to their computer(s), run Payables, look for the "Email" option on the main screen and "Email setup" on the menu.

You can configure your system the same way. Or, even simpler, if you have a current version of Payables, you can try the "Outlook" option.

Thank you very much for the response. However, when checking both settings they are the exact same.

Email>Email setup
Mapi
Port: 25

Both computers are setup identical.

Hi Amanda,

It's the MAPI setting that causes the requirement to Allow sending the emails. Microsoft doesn't want you sending spam through Outlook..

It was Bruce's suggestion to use the special 'Outlook' option instead of MAPI, if you are running the current version of Payables. This uses a different procedure that should present the Allow screen for every email.

Amanda:

The other computer likely has Click Express Yes installed on it. Click Express Yes will auto answer all those annoying security questions that Outlook throws up in an attempt to limit spam.

Hey, thanks everyone for the response. However, none of these have solved the issue. Both computers have exactly the same setup and the other one does not have that click express installed.

Hi Amanda:

Remember that the email configuration is by user, not by computer. However that's likely the same thing in your situation. It's probably time to place a call to your Adagio consultant; they can investigate better than we can through the Forum.
