I've had a new workstation installed yesterday.

I've tried exporting a trial balance and detail listing from the G/L to excel direct.

Each time I've tried, the G/L initially indicates the file name will be .xlxs format, but as soon as I proceed, it automatically changes to .csv format, and then opens excel with the following warning of possible data loss: "Some features might be lost if you save this workbook in the comma-delimited (.csv) format. To preserve these features, save it in an Excel file format."

The trial balance as opened in Excel has balances on most accounts, but does not list the account & department numbers.

This is the first time I've run into this.

First of all, I presume this new workstation has MS Excel configured correctly.

It's possible to configure Adagio to re-direct ExcelDirect to a CSV file or Open Office or another output source. Perhaps this is the case here? On our website is a tech tip for how to work with Excel Direct in Adagio. Perhaps this can be helpful as to what's happening here.

The above would be the case no matter what is sent to Excel Direct, include grid contents. Perhaps try exporting say the Account Grid list to Excel, presuming that the Adagio User is set up to allow Excel Direct - the option is called Enable SF Export.

I am the user, and have all rights enabled. The "Enable SF Export" option is toggled on.
