Dear ccemonroe

Do you get any error messages when this happens? Are these archived checks, that have had a previous check No. posted to them?

First, make sure you have a good backup, then perform a Data Integrity Check through QCWIN (File | Data Integrity Check). If it finds errors, perform a 'Rebuild', then do another DIC to make sure it got all the errors.

If this does not fix the problem, then try removing the QCWIN directory and reinstall QCWIN.

We would need more specific details if you are still having problems, when did this start happening, for example - what has changed on your system or the network?

Regards

Dear ccemonroe

If the problem occurs by simply editing check information, and no error occurs, please determine the following:

1) If you print preview the check, does the same void check issue arise? How many details are you putting on your checks?

2) If you print preview the checks with a different (sample) check specification, does the same error occur? If not, then the problem lies with the check specification.

Edit your check spec, and from the File | Specification Options screen, verify that the 'max. number of details' is set to something greater than zero (probably around 8-12, depending on your format). Also, please let us know the release date of Quik Check for Windows (a six digit number such as 990215, etc).

There aren't any options that would have this void check problem occur or go away.

Regards

Hello again

You could have a corrupt batch file - do a Data Integrity check as I explained in my earlier response, follow those instructions and then (as I mentioned earlier) if that procedure doesn't help then ... make sure you have a good backup, then reinstall QCWIN by first removing the QCWIN program directory. Possibly something has occurred to damage some program files; reinstalling will put all program files back to their original state.

Do these procedures before you do anything else, please.

Good luck
