I am in the process of setting up A/P 8.0. I would like to print checks on pre-numbered stock. Can anyone tell me if Adagio reacts the same way as Accpac Plus when the advices overflow to a second or third check? I was told that the check numbers would no longer match the stock if this happened and am hoping I was misinformed. That would make check reconciliation extremely difficult.

No, Adagio does not behave this way.

If there are more invoice details than there is space for in the advice details section, the first check will be voided and the remaining details will be printed on the next check.

However, the check number is incremented.

Am I also able to use a different check specification for different banks?

Yes, you can define default specifications on the bank code, so you may use different specs for each bank.

In addition, you could choose to set on a bank, different check specs for printing system checks vs manual checks.

Under Edit / Banks, you can set different specifications and numbering sequences for each bank.

By the way, you might want to talk to your print shop about the new cheque requirements in Canada that will come into effect Jan 1, 2007 New CPA Standard for Cheques. Adagio Payables 8.0 already supports this,
