Posted transaction details are only ever maintained for the current year. When Year End Processing is performed, the details are purged.

So if you want to do a detail listing for any year other than current year, you need to have a backup of your GL company data for that year. You mention that you have a backup but cannot access it - what happens when you try? It may not be a complete backup.

If you use Adagio FX Pro - you can maintain multiple years of your Adagio GL data in the same database - including details. That means you could do detail listings for more than just the current year. Adagio FX is a separate module from Adagio Ledger which can be used to retrieve data from Adagio Ledger, Accpac Plus General Ledger, Simply Accounting and/or QuickBooks.

You'll need to use WinZip or the extraction tool in Windows XP to decompress your backed-up data to a folder, different than your live data. Perhaps a sub-directory of your live data with a folder name of 2004?

Adagio Ledger does not read data from a compressed zip file, nor will other Adagio programs. Data needs to be decompressed.
