I am getting a critical error 1212 (invalid path to data dictionary) after I copied an upgrade of Inventory from drive C to the network. I was getting a message that there was a problem with the CRPE32.DLL file. I believe that it could not be opened or overwritten (sorry). As I could not complete the installation on the network, I installed it to C and copied it over to J. I edited the ICWIN.INI file and changed the ACCPAC drive to F (from C) and then got the above error. Where can I find the data dictionary path?

The 1212 dictionary error is due to a program dictionary not being of the same version as the program. This certainly could be caused by copying some program files around and not getting everything.

It sounds like the solution is to re-install Inventory, rather than editing and copying files and not being sure if the correct things are being done. Make sure you have full rights to the workstation and server when installation is performed.
