In current versions of Adagio such as Payables 9.2A 20160524 using the windows browser to find the folder where the reports should go doesn't work properly anymore.

Before, it asked you for a file name and you can enter anything and it accepted the path. Now, the file needs to actually exist.

I have work around by finding the folder and then copy the path on the browse window, cancel it and then paste it into the User Preferences. Even though there is a work around, it is not intuitive.

Hi Patricia,

I suspect that this may be a side effect of the changes we have been making to the Browse windows in Adagio and as they function when running as Hosted on Adagio Cloud. Indeed within User Preferences, the Report Path requires a file within the folder to successfully use the Browse process to select it. Alternately, the path can be typed or pasted in, as you have indicated.

My suspicion is that the preferred way would be to have a 'Select Folder' button when a path does not require a specific file name, such as what happens in other places in recent Adagio releases, such as File / Backup / Backup Options and selecting the backup zip file save folder.

The browse method has to be coded specifically for each field, so it doesn't happen automatically. If you run into other browse places that behave in an unexpected way, please let us know, as they would have to be handled separately.
