Using Gridview for a detailed Sales Tax Report by month - report in Invoices does not meet our needs- and notice that Gridview only "sees" the date of the item detail, NOT the date of the invoice (if the invoice is a different date than the item). Our tax reporting is ALWAYS based on the date of the invoice. Any way to have Gridview "see" the date I need?

Thanks,
Karen

Since the detailed tax report uses the Q/I History Detail File, the date it sees is the detail date. Gridview reports from only one file, so it cannot see the invoice date which in the History Header File.

You could match the date for the details to the invoice date.

You could use Crystal Reports to draw fields from more than one file.

I have already made a request (and sent a sample) to Softrak to include a more detailed tax report in an upgrade, so it may be available in the future.

I was going to offer using the Composite Tables in GridView, which can combine 2 or more files into a single View. However, none have yet been created for Adagio Invoices, so no such luck there.

My deepest thanks to Michael Mulrooney! He sent me a new dictionary with a composite table that worked beautifully!

Perfect!
