In regards to the EFT module of Adagio, is it required when making EFT payments, or does it just add the convenience of integrating into payables and filling in information for you? Any information about this beyond what is on your website would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

The EFT module adds the capability of sending payment batches to your bank. Instead of mailing 50 cheques, the EFT module creates a file of 50 payments in the appropriate format for your bank. It also allows you to send emails to those vendors to tell that that a payment has been deposited to their bank account and tells them which invoices were paid.

Thanks Bruce. I can do all those things through my banks website though. What does EFT module add?

Using your bank's web-site:

• You must enter payments one-by-one and then re-enter that into Payables rather than uploading a batch file (less work, less chance of error)
• Unless your bank's website offers features I've not seen before, it can't email to your Vendors to tell them they have been paid and tell them which invoices have been paid

Since you are in Canada, you may also want to consider Telpay, which integrates with Adagio AP.
Telpay offers EFT as well, but it is very different process compared to the "traditional" EFT.
