At month end when I retrieve the other moduals into the GL, I always have to go to "modify" and change the date. I am always into the next period when I close the previous month so when I retrieve into GL it is the first week of the next period. If I just choose "retrieve" my batch is posted into the new month I am now in. I have done this before and then have to open the batch in GL and manually change the period. To avoid, I choose "modify" and change back the period the batch will post to. Is there a better way to do this, as it is so easy to just click on "retreive". Thank you

When retrieving sub-ledger batches into Adagio Ledger, there are 2 ways of assigning the fiscal period. One is 'Period based on date' (the default method) which determines the fiscal period based on the transaction date of the entry. The other is 'Current Period' which will ignore the sub-ledger transaction date and assign the fiscal period based on what you select.

If you want to bring in transactions posted in the prior month (fiscal period) use the first option - Period based on date. Because Adagio Ledger saves this choice, you likely used the 'current period' option and that is being maintained. Once you use 'period based on date', you shouldn't have to go back there and 'modify' this selection on future retrievals.
