Hi KOM,
I launched 2 instances of Adagio Ledger 8.0C on the same workstation, where a total of 7 lanpak seats are installed and licensed. When I go to Help / About within either instance of Ledger, I see 1 of 7 in use.
From either Ledger window, I start the Maintain Financial Reports, and I am able to start the program. Opening the Financial Reporter does not use a Lanpak license seat.
So there are some things you need to check.
- How many lanpak seats are being recognized by Adagio? This is what Andrew asked a couple of times. When Adagio Ledger is open, go to the Help menu and look at About. Does it say '0 of 5 in use' or simply '1' for 'Licensed Users'.
The above is important in order to answer your question better.
- Using the Financial Reporter doesn't use a Lanpak seat, so something else is triggering the message. Perhaps registering the Lanpak is indeed pertinant (though it shouldn't be...).
- Check workstation and network rights (read/write access and all that good stuff).
You should know that Maintain Financial Reports is a single-user function, regardless of the number of Lanpaks installed and licensed. If a second user tries to open either Maintain or Print Financial Statements, when someone already is in Maintain FS, a message will appear that 'The financial reporter is currently being used by XXXXX. Access is not available.'
