A client is running Adagio Ledger (current version) on Windows XP workstations with a Linix server. As far as I can determine, the installation is all correct with the programs and LanPak on the server and the workstation install done on the two office computers.

The other day, two users had the same ledger data open. One was just printing reports; the other posted several batches. The posting of the last -- and largest -- batch (retreived from AP and edited) failed. The built-in rebuild utility failed to repair the damaged data. (They restored from the backup.)

They are, however, concerned that the problem may recur.

Are they any issues I should check on their system to try to ensure stability? (Chksys.exe reports no problems.)

Hi Ralph,

I haven't heard of this particular scenario before. Both posting and printing reports lock particular resources (posting more so than printing) and wondering if a collision occured.

I assume that drive mappings are the same for both stations - so that both are updating the same EZTASKS file when using Adagio.

Apart from that, I'm not really sure what to suggest next.
