Each month I clear all of my cheques that are not outstanding. However for some reason it now requires me to actually print the cheque rec (to the printer) for the prompt to pop up asking me if I want to clear all cheques. I used to just print to file and it worked just fine. I don't want a hard copy of this report...how do I make it so that I can just print to file again?

Reports such as the Check Reconciliation Listing can be printed to the AdagioPDF printer driver, for an electronic copy as opposed to paper. Or to a File destination for Word or Excel. You are not required to print this report for paper output, but it must be printed (as opposed to previewed) in order to get the question about purging all checks not outstanding. This is how it has always worked.

It's weird then because I am printing to destination file (Printing not Previewing) and it does not prompt me to clear the non-outstanding cheques. However it does prompt me when I print to destination printer (whether it's an actual printer or to AdagioPDF). I think it changed when I did the upgrade but I can't say for sure.

I think you are not crazy. I have noticed this too for this report.

I always print to AdagioPDF printer now and the prompt pops up. I do believe something changed.

I investigated the shipping release of Adagio Payables 9.2A (2015.06.09), and I received the message regarding clearing non-outstanding checks whether I printed to the AdagioPDF printer driver, to a File such as Word, or by using ePrint. And the file was successfully purged. I selected all check statuses to print for the report, as only checks selected to print on the report can be purged.

If the purpose of printing this report is simply to clear the completed checks, then whether it gets printed to a Word/Excel file or a PDF via the AdagioPDF driver, I think there is a way to accomplish what needs to be done.

Though I could not replicate a problem printing to File, it's possible something changed in the 9.2A release because of the report structure changes for this release. But I'd be surprised about this because the clearing prompt is based on status selections rather than the actual report printing.

So long as I can clear the cheques, I don't actually need the report for anything. What's strange too is that the issue only arises at one of my workplaces...at my other workplace the print-to-file method works just fine in prompting me to clear the non-outstanding cheques. So I wonder if there is some internal setting on the pc itself. We are running the same A/P versions.
