Hello,

Is there a way to find out what table is my views pointing to?

I have old views in Inventory (Prior 9.2A) and I just copied it to the Inventory 9.2A views folder. It seems to work fine. It is necessary to recreate the views and point to the most current table or re-point the old views to the current table?

Hi Marlon,

You can find out the name of the table used to create the View by hovering the cursor over the top left hand corner of the View (the cell at the very top left corner).

It is considered good practise to try and keep View referring to the current tables if possible. We try and minimize changes if possible so that we don't break too many Views with a new release. Unfortunately, sometimes the field must be changed to support new features. There were very few database changes in Inventory 9.2A, so the older dictionaries will continue to work.

Hello Andrew,

I'll follow the good practice and will re-point all my views to the current tables.

Thank you.

Marlon
