Hello,

I'm in the process converting AR Custom Report and followed the guide that I got online both PDF and Video.

I've tested the ODBC connection by opening a query in excel and it is working. I've also tried using the new Crystal Report 2013 and created a custom report from scratch and it also works.

I have SAP Crystal Report 2013 installed in Window 8.

So the last step I've done so far is running the RptDictUsage.exe. When run, I get this error message: "Error during survey: Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

Does anyone know what I'm missing?

I've also attached a screenshot of the error.

Marlon

Hi Marlon,

I haven't seen this error before.

Have you installed any of the Adagio 9.2 programs? It may be that before you can convert older Crystal Reports (8.5) for Adagio reports to the new standard, files from that install for DotNet or CR.runtime must be installed to the workstation, and are missing for you for some reason.

Searching for CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine in Google didn't seem to point to a particular cause and only suggested to copy the file from one place to another, which is something I am not going to recommend.

If you have installed an Adagio 9.2 program such as Receivables, try loading the sample data from Adagio and attempt to preview one of the built-in reports such as a batch list or posting journal or Company Profile list, just to see if the required components are installed successfully on your workstation, before attempting to do the custom report conversions for Crystal.

If you are converting reports, all referenced programs must be at the 9.2 level. For example, because Adagio OrderEntry is not yet at 9.2, you should not be attempting to convert reports with OE data. A different error would occur should this be the case.

For what it's worth, I do not have that file on my workstation, and I can print reports from Adagio 9.2, and can also convert reports with no errors. Do you have any other installed programs on your workstation that uses Crystal Runtime or DotNet, that may be interfering with this due to a version mis-match?

Edit Reason: Don't have referenced file

As usual, user error. I missed the part where the workstation I'm converting from must also have the module updated.

I open receivables 9.2A module, updated the workstation and that did the trick.

Thank you.

Marlon
