Hi ER,

So to clarify the situation, you were using the Grid Column Editor to include some more fields on the screen, and selected too many for the program to handle. Because of this you are unable to open the Edit Items function, because the grid in unable to be loaded.

If this is the scenario, then you can manually remove the 'column edits' for the Edit Items window or any other. To do this:

  • use Windows Explorer and browse to the directory where the Adagio program is installed. This would be \softrak\icwin for Adagio Inventory, \softrak\oewin for OrderEntry, etc.
  • Look for a file called icwin.ini (or for OE, oewin.ini). Open it with any text-editing program (Word, Notepad, etc). Make sure no-one else is using Adagio at this moment.
  • Look for a section entitled [grdItems] or something similar. Simply delete the section title and all lines underneath it up to the next [text] title. Save changes and close.
  • There are many different grids pertaining to items; Edit, Inquiry, Finder, SmartFinder. And there could be different grid setups by Adagio user. If you made a change but the problem still persists, you might not have made the right change. Likely the grid causing the problem will have a long list of fields associated with it.
