A client has some sheets in which he sometimes wants to see the detail on the screen yet only print the summary. He has therefore marked the ".Range" rows "Hide when printed."

However, when he expands the sheet, the "Hide when printed" attribute is not carried over to the generated rows.

I pointed out that the simple solution was to click the "Collapse" button before printing, but he feels some of those printing the sheets will not do this resulting in a level of printed detail he does not want distributed.

Hi Ralph,

Could you give a little more information as to what is formatted as 'Hide when printed'? Is it a column or a row? You are correct that if you format the summary row as 'Hide when printed' that this attribute does not carry over to the generated details.

For your question of printing statements in collapsed mode, I would recommend using the current version of Adagio Ledger 8.0B and the new feature 'Statement Group printing'. You can specify for each sheet whether it prints in Collapsed or Expanded mode; thus you can print all the sheets as Collasped without having to remember changing anything.
