When do you receive the error? What are you trying to do when it appears?

I have seen the error in the past, when the attributes for an Adagio program file were flagged as Read-only.

If the files were copied from a CD, then they will be marked as read-only. Make sure that all the files are marked read-write.

Even the Administrator with full access to everything cannot write to a file flagged as read only.

Go to a DOS prompt.
Change to the root of the drive you have Softrak and the data installed on.
Type the following;
c:\windows\command\attrib -r *.* /s

As a Windows application, Adagio does not require a setting for file handles. Only DOS needs this.
