That message from the 'Program Compatibility Assistant' was introduced in Windows Vista, and appears when it is believed that a program did not install correctly. The logic that Windows uses here is whether or not the shortcut was created.
Because the Adagio upgrade would not have created a new shortcut, Windows may think the program did not install correctly. But in our experience, Adagio has indeed installed correctly and you can safely ignore the warning and indicate it installed correctly, as you did.
