Why is the profile locked when two people are in order entry but not actually entering anything? In the other modules the profile isn't locked in this situation.

Probably because the Company Profile contains the next order, invoice and credit note numbers and you cannot have someone clicking "New" until the changes to the company profile are recorded.

Is this just something you noticed, or was there a reason you wanted to change a profile setting while entering orders?

Yes, never noticed it before. I knew that you couldn't get into the profile in OE if some one else was logged into the module, so I assumed that that was the case for all modules. When I was in the profile in CQ I noticed that the person across from me had a quote open on their desk, so I asked them if they were in. Just surprised me.

What about quote numbers?

Hi Mike,

The locking is working for Steve and I, so that means you were either mistaken in what your co-worker was doing (could they have been looking at a different data set?) or your network locking is not set up correctly (you can check this by trying to open the Company Profile on two separate workstations).
