I just discovered that emails we send through Adagio programs such as OE are time stamping our emails 4 hours later than the time we actually send them. For example, I just sent this email to myself from OE at 1:05 AM. In the email queue in OE it says, completed direct Generated at 1:05 AM, Last Sent at 1:05 AM. However, when the email arrives it appears like this:

Subject: Your Invoice from TDL

To Customer,

Please see the invoice attached to this email.

TDL

How do we fix this?

You should be sending invoices at 1 am on a Saturday!

Seriously though; direct or MAPI?

Hi Susan,

I do not know whether Adagio or your SMTP service provider is responsible for time stamping the outbound emails. I'll ask next week.

I don't think so because I can send email through Outlook using the same SMTP server and the time stamp is accurate.

The problem does not occur when sending email via mapi. We have always used direct because mapi gives us a pop up window that we have to click "allow" for every email.

Hi Susan,

I sent an email from the current version of OE, using the Direct method and Gmail as the server, and the time stamp was accurate for me. I think there's more to this than just Adagio making the time stamp wrong.

But I have also seen incorrect times when viewing an email, either the received email in Outlook, or the Sent message in the Gmail server. By 7 hours difference. Which could be the prime meridian difference, less the hour for daylight savings.

We'll have to investigate. Thanks for letting us know.

Hello Susan,

A new System Updater has been posted that corrects this problem.
