When I try to start Ledger 8.0 I get an error that I am unable to write to n:\softrak\alwin\alwin.ini. It is running on a netware server and I am using client for XP 4.90 SP1.

Hi Sheldon,
With the Novell Client 4.90, disable the options for File Caching and File Commit. Also see if you can create a text file in the n:\softrak\alwin\ directory, which will confirm that you have write privileges to that directory on the server.

Hi Sheldon,
The Novell client 4.90 SP1 has no known issues with Adagio. The program is trying to write to the file alwin.ini. Check that the alwin.ini file is not write protected and that the workstation user has full netware rights to the file. Netware file attributes for this file for the workstation user should include all rights ie. Write, Read etc.

I have checked the file attributes. They are not read only. I am able to manually make a change to the file and save it without any trouble. It is only when I try to start Ledger that I have trouble.
I have a user with Windows '98 and she has no issues at all. It works flawlessly. She is using Client 3.32 for Windows '98.
