We upgraded to all the newest (at the time) software in late 2010 and we have just realized that in 2011 and subsequent years thereafter, when starting a batch after #36, the system skips #37 - #40. Anyone know why that would happen every year?

Because when it goes to create the new batch, Adagio Payables discovers that the files already exist (usually as a result of an incorrect backup/restore process). Rather than overwriting the files (in case they are important) it just increments the batch number.

When you do year end next time, make sure that there are no batch files "dragging around" in amongst your data.
