Hi cdressler,
In more current versions of Adagio, including the version of Ledger you indicated, a number of the built-in reports generate temporary work files in order to process faster. What actually happens behind the scenes is that the work files are copied to the local temporary file on the workstation, as defined by Windows, so that report generating is faster (the file is local and not on the network).
If a workstation tries to print one of these reports (such as Detail listing, Trial Balance, batch listing, posting journal, or a couple others) and gets an error such as 'cannot create folder GLDT0002', then the work file isn't being copied correctly to the temp folder on the workstation. A couple of reasons why this might be happening are:
- The user does not have workstation rights to create files in their local temp folder. Don't laugh but we've run into this before. Would be relevant to Windows 2000/XP but not 98.
- The Windows regional settings has a currency symbol something other than $. This is probably more likely than the scenario above.
- The workstation setup may need to be re-run.
Because the other 4 stations are OK, you can be sure that the program and your data are just fine; the situation is specific to the other computer.
