"The simple fact is that Softrak's new Windows-based product, Adagio, was independently developed and does not infringe any of Accpac's rights; we are confident that we will vindicate our position in the Canadian and American courts. Having said that, in the unlikely event that Accpac succeeds in its lawsuit, Softrak can and will modify and continue to sell and support Adagio. Our attorneys advise us that the notion that Accpac could legally prevent Softrak from selling upgrades and new products is simply wrong.
