I deleted a Salesperson who is no longer with us from OrderEntry. I ran a DIC later that day and received errors on every open, template, and historical quote he had done. But no errors showed for sales order history and invoices (there is nothing current for him). Why the error in SalesCQ but not OrderEntry? I put him back into Salespeople because I would have to change close to 200 quotes, and there is no way to export quotes.

Thanks

Hi Mike

Although this does not answer your specific question, if you owned Toolkit for Adagio, you could combine the salesperson code in with another code, for example HOUSE, which would effectively delete the code without causing any problems.

Hello Mike,

Sorry for the delay.

OrderEntry is not as strict as SalesCQ is when it comes to Salesperson. OE does not require a salesperson. When you edit the orders that have the old salesperson code, you cannot save changes until the code is changed to blank or current Salesperson.

SalesCQ will report errors on the invalid salesperson but there is a rebuild. The rebuild will set the salesperson to the next closest code on the list. After the rebuild, you must recheck and rebuild the data a 2nd time but you do not have to edit each document.

I have added a suggestion for R&D to change CQ to match OE on a future upgrade.

Is the next closest code higher or lower i.e. MO,KS,DS,MS. If DS is deleted, which code will be used?

Thanks

OK, I need to clarify. It will go to the 1st Salesperson. So, if all your salespeople are 2 digits, to KS. If you have any with an A, they will be 1st.
