Check the Properties of the shortcut that you use to start QL. Make sure that the path to Excel is correct.

For example if Excel and Quiklink are on drive c:, the Properties of the Shortcut may be:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE" C:\SOFTRAK\QUIKLNK7\QUIKLINK.XLA
