Inventory Worksheets

We used the physical inventory worksheet under transactions to get our count sheets. Worked well. I then used the export physical inventory worksheet to get an Excel copy. Again, worked well. But when I was transferring the count numbers from the count sheets to Excel, I ran into a problem in that the two sheets didn't match. It seems that the worksheet you get under transaction doesn't print "On demand" items while the exported worksheet does. We don't have many on demand items but there are a few, and it slowed me considerably only because I had to check to make sure that the numbering I was transferring matched the correct item in excel.
This the criteria for the transaction worksheet. Sort order: Item number, picking sequence Selection: Items from location with any control set All item numbers All picking sequences
Bruce has modified it once for us, so I was wondering if it could be modified to show on demand items? Actually, I would prefer that the export worksheet didn't export on demand items.
Any ideas?

Hi Mike,
By "on demand" items, do you mean "non-stock" items? I can understand why those aren't necessary on a physical inventory worksheet.
PS - Working petty late for a New Year's Eve, aren't you?

Hi Andrew, Yes, and I would prefer not to have them on, but could you add this field to the list for exporting to excel? Once the physical inventory worksheet is exported, I could then sort it, and delete the non-stock (on demand) items so it then match the physical inventory worksheet I printed from under transactions. Thanks (We were chaperoning my son's new year's party and were off to bed when they decided to cook a couple of pizzas. There was no way my wife was going to bed until she knew the oven was off, which meant I wasn't going to bed either ).

Good Morning Support
1. All items in our inventory are stock items (stock item box checked under Units tab). 2. The Allow items at all locations option is turned on in the Company Profile. 3. On Demand shows for locations where an item is not active.
When I was transferring the count, the two lists didn't match. I just wanted to get it done so I didn't really pay attention to which items were missing. I'm going to look at it today to see if I can figure out what happened. I just assumed it was the items showing on demand (inactive). Will let you know.
Thanks

The first dozen items that were missing all had a default picking sequence defined but were showing on demand (inactive) at all locations. Not sure how this happened but I suspect that it was when we transferred inventory over from the old accounting system. I'm going to check the rest of inventory to be sure but I think that's the problem.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure I know what happened. All of the items I'm finding had some activity in our old accounting system but have had no activity in Adagio (all were zero quantity items when we switched). They have a pick sequence but no activity. This has caused the two lists to be out of sync. I have two questions though.
Firstly, say we decided to carry a new line of merchandise, for example bikes. To save time, all the models we plan on selling are entered into the inventory. Should they be checked as inactive or a non-stock item. Will either, or both, options have the item appear in the physical inventory worksheets (exported and printed)?
Secondly, is there an easy way of finding these type of inventory items? I'm having to go through the exported and printed worksheets item by item to find them. I tried to create a Gridview but can't find the field that regulates Permit Entry? which gives me on demand.
Thanks
Update: I have a Gridview now (if both Units Sold YTD and Quantity On Hand are zero, this item will not appear on the printed Physical Inventory Worksheet).

The easiest way to re-create it is to create a new item by copying an existing item. The new item will have the originals' default picking sequence but will show on demand for all locations. It can be fixed by selecting the activate button. I think importing an adjustment file with a positive and negative quantity for each item is the easiest way to fix it, unless you have a better idea?
Thanks
