:-) I do have two monitors, and we've scoured every inch of both ... also tried changing the resolution, among a dozen other things relating to how things show on the monitor(s), but nothing seems to work :-(
I've also had our IT guys remote in, and he can't figure anything out in regards to settings, etc either.

Did you follow Michael's recommendation to edit the Windows registry? This is where the position of View panels and other layout positioning is stored.

Also try using Maintain Financial Reports (Maintenance menu) to reset the settings, as this might not work if you open the Print Financial Reports from the Reports menu.

The most likely reason it disappear is because someone made it so narrow that for all intents and purposes, it disappears.

Softrak:

Andrew's suggestion to use the View Reset should have worked. I tested it and it did not.

With the financial reporter program version 2.1.1.1867, dated 11/18/2011 that ships with the current release of FX 9.0B (2011.11.24), if I un-dock the View Account Data or any other view window and move it to a different monitor, and then use the View / Customize / Views / reset process, then the respective view window gets re-docked to the left of the financial reporter window. I did not see a problem with this, using Maintain Financial Reports.

Reset will restore the docking status of a View window, and also when multiple view windows are stacked vertically with a shrunken height, but it does not restore the window width. Perhaps this what you are referring to? I could not shrink a docked View window to a size so that it is invisible - the little 'X' button and enough of the window to display this is always displayed.

Because the display and positioning settings are stored in the Windows Registry, to be able to reset you require proper rights to the registry.
