Is there anyway I can print sales history report by category for the last five years? Can I print sales report by item number?

Which information are you trying to print? Inventory transaction history? Item history statistics? Sales Analysis Transactions? Somewhere else?

It is possible to print the Transaction History report in Inventory for just shipments, sorted primarily by Category, and include any date range as desired. Or sorted by Item number or various other ways.
Adagio Sales Analysis would also provide flexible reports of sales from Adagio Invoices or Order Entry with this same criteria.

To determine what is the best fit for your reporting needs, it would be good to discuss with your Adagio consultant.

For a "quick & dirty" report, go into Inventory | Inquiries | Historical Transactions. Place the columns you need on the grid. Select Shipments and the date range. Then send the transactions to Excel and sum the records there.

This is also fairly easy to do in GridView.
