Can Adagio PurchaseOrders default the order quantity to 1 like PO Tracker (and Invoices)? A prospect tells me that 80% of the details they enter are for quantity 1 and it would add significantly to the data entry time to have to visit that field on every detail.

From the Help Text searching for "default quantity":
Quote:

Min/max inventory levels - IC Items only
Based on your Update stock levels on entry setting on the System Options tab of the Company Profile, you may see reorder suggestions for the selected IC item display in bold to the right of the Unit Price field. These suggestions (eg. Suggested qty: 5 or Overstocked) are based on the IC Item selected, the Location selected, the Quantities information displayed in the grid for the item and the Update stock levels on entry option setting in the Company Profile.

For example,if the option is set to ToMin or ToMax, you will also find that Adagio PurchaseOrders will automatically enter the suggested quantity to bring stock levels up to the Reorder Minimum or Reorder Maximum quantity for that item at the selected Location. As this is a suggestion only, you may choose to enter a different quantity to order.

Set the option in the company profile so that a default reorder quantity of 1 will be suggested. Use "To minimum" and set the minimum level to 1 for the item (on the assumption that you are raising a PO to get an item for a customer.

Hi Andrew

That will work sometimes but not if there are already quantities on hand, and you need to set the next setting "Consider outstanding POs" to None. But I guess it's better than nothing.

I think a simpler approach would be to add another option to the "Update Stock Levels on Entry" setting on the System Options tab, to use the Reorder Quantity.

That's a reasonable suggestion. Someone has also suggested the addition of a minimum package reorder quantity on the Item record to account for circumstance where the supplier demands a minimum order.

We'll collect the feedback and decide what would provide users with the greatest improvement for the next cycle.

That's a good idea. I vote for that. Right now I have to keep that info in the notes section but it's remembering to check before ordering that's always the problem.
