Hi Kevin Jenkins, I'm on the road, but... Is this the first time you have used the manual cheque function in Adagio Payables, or is this new behaviour since you installed 6.8B?

Hi Kevin, I have seen behaviour similar to what you are running into if 'Large Fonts' is turned on through the Windows display properties. If you have either this or the Scaled fonts enabled in Windows, try disabling this and print/preview checks - perhaps in sample data. In the specification itself, the page height is determined by which sections you have selected, the height of each of those sections, and the 'Max Details' setting found in Specification Options. You do not have to use a separate check spec for manual checks than you do for system checks. If you are finding that System Checks are OK whereas Manual checks do not, I would not suspect the check spec as the culprit.

Preview for manual cheques is squished too. System chequs are fine using the same spec. I have tried the sample data in addition to two sets of company data .... same result.

Hi Kevin, I know you've answered this elsewhere on the forum, but - what printer make and model are you using? Would you be willing to send us the specification to see if we can duplicate the problem?

Have tried it on several workstations with the same result on both HP 4000TN and HP4200 printers. All workstations print system cheques fine using the same cheque spec on both printers. I would be pleased to send the spec for your analysis .... please let me know the e-mail address or upload site. Thank you for the continued manufacturer support!!!

Hello Kevin, I have one last question for you. What kind of cheques were you trying to print? Is the Payment type: Payment, Cash Invoice, or Prepayment? If the Payment type is Cash Invoice, the Cheque Specification must have a section for: Advice detail ?Advice body (cash).

AHA!!! That may be the issue. The only time we would wish to use the manual cheque function is where there is no vendor set up and we do not wish to set one up for the approx 100 one-time-only payments we made this week. It appears that cash invoice is the only way to make a cheque payable to non-vendors. We therefore had 100 cash invoices and 100 "scrunched-up" cheques. I take it then that I must create a separate cheque spec for manual (cash invoice) cheques?? Or can my existing spec be modified to work with both??? Thanks!!!!
