When I try to preview a batch listing, I get a message Error: 524 Print Job Busy Close Print Job

When I click ok I see the blank Crystal Reports screen but cannot cancel printing or exit. I have to exit TB and re-start it.

I am not having a problem with Crystal Reports 8.5 and I can preview reports in other modules.

There are a couple of known reasons why you would get this error.

One is that a particular Crystal DLL had a problem from version 7 (U2FTEXT.DLL) and we install the 8.5 version (8.5.0.66 or 8.5.0.98) into the C:\windows\crystal directory. If you check the properties of this file and it is 7.0... then this could be a problem. The current shipping version of Time&Billing should put this in.

The other known issue is that for Time/Disb batches only (not Bills), one of the tables had an error which caused the problem. Make sure that your QRTTBZ65.QRW table in the \qrasp directory has a file date of at least Jan 28, 2003. This table is installed by the shipping version of Time&Billing.

If neither of these 2 solutions help, then the isuue could be related to other factors, such as environment or unsuccessful installation or a problem with the report.

- Can you make the error occur on a different data set?
- Which options do you select for the report? Ranges of fields?
- Is it both Time and Bill batches, or just one report?
- What version of Windows are you running?

The QRTTBZ65.QRW file is dated 8/14/2002.

I did find that once I ran some different reports, I was then able to go back to the batch listing and print it.

I wonder if a particular Crystal DLL was still loaded (or not) in memory the first time you tried to print the batch list, but went away after the other processing was performed.

You may want to get the Time&Billing PTF to make sure everything is up to date. The version is 2003.01.30
