In the past I have exported a portion of my vendor list and changed the status for those vendors using excel then imported the revised vendor list back into Adagio. At which time the import effected only those records that I had originally exported leaving the balance of the vendor list untouched. However the import selections options seem to have since changed.

If I import the revised portion of the vendor list into Adagio and select overwrite, will this overwrite the entire vendor list in Adagio or only those in that portion that I am importing back in with the revisions?

Is there an easier way to change the status of multiple vendors?

"Overwrite" only changes vendors included in the import (and only those fields included in the import file). It prevents adding any new Vendors and should be chosen when you KNOW that no new vendors could be added by the import.

It protects you from a badly formatted import file adding corrupt Vendors to the file by accident.
