I am creating finacial statements using Account Groups and have come across an issue.
When i drag the statement across from Account Groups into the spreadsheet area and given the otion to choose the account data specifications - nothing can be selected. I select "clear selections" to remove the Description just to test it - nothing happens, for Income statment I select Current Month (M) - nothing happens. Why wont it work?
Thanks in advance

A financial statement cannot be edited when it is in expanded view. Collapse the statement.

BTW - while you can create a statement using drag-and-drop, you may find it faster and easier to start with one of the 50 or so sample statements shipped with the sample data or available on http://www.greatstatements.com.

I am not trying to edit the statment - I am trying to create it.
I am stopped at the point of choosing which periods I want included - where after you drag into the spreasheet you "select fields". I can't select any periods (description is selected and cant be unselected) and therefore my "statement" is just a report of Account Names.

I have watched the webinars and built exactly what i want in Account Groups so I dont want to now go somewhere else and startover.

Hi Jacquie,

The Description field will not be cleared when you choose 'Clear fields'. This is to ensure that the description is always on the sheet, usually in column C.

Drag-and-drop from the Account Groups must be done to a blank sheet. It is not correct to drag an account group and select some fields, then re-perform the drag-and-drop while picking additional fields. The desired method is to click the checkboxes for all fields (including the description) at once. Clicking on the names won't select the field (unless you press the space bar on the highlighted field name). And only one account group can be dragged to a blank sheet.

If this isn't working the way you expect, could you describe the click-by-click steps you are taking and the results that are happening that you didn't want?
