The person who did all the year end for Adagio is no longer with our company. It appears as if the year end has occured in all modules except the Ledger. I can't seem to close the Current Fiscal Year in the Ledger because of 2 things. 1) the posting journal must print and clear first and 2) the batch status report must print and clear first. I have printed the second one and previewed the first one as it is 3808 pages long. I have read through the forum and I fear doing the things that have been suggested because the year has changed in all other modules and I don't want to mess anything up. Can someone help me?

Print the Posting Journal to PDF...you can not preview and then print the report as you will not be prompted with the clear option. If you don't have a PDF printer installed (ou should have Adagio PDF available) you can get "Cute PDF" as shareware on the internet.

Make sure you backup your data before you proceed any further.

I would suggest a call to your Adagio Dealer for support on this issue for at least this year. Once you have gone through the process with their help, you will be much more confident.

Hi Julie,

If you wanted to see closing the Ledger fiscal year in action, here is a link to a short 3-minute training video on our website. There are actually 4 videos in a series on doing year end in Ledger, all available on the Show Me How page on our website.

If you are getting a message that the posting journal needs to be printed and clared, but attempting to do so gives a message that there is nothing to print, then the posting journal file is out of synch with the rest of the data. The easiest solution is to disable the option to 'allow purge posting journal' in the company profile, and then Year End will deal with this for you. I believe this is demonstrated in the video.

If none of the above is the answer to your question, it would be good to contact your Adagio consultant as Ken indicated.
