Our client wants to print two financial statements in Landscape format to an specific Printer using the Previous Period. Printing to PDF is not an option because, beside the documents are confidential, it adds the hassle to look for the reports.

Eprint is enabled for this database with force printing to PDF.

If they want to use Report Sets, the printer cannot be override; it prints to PDF.

If they use Statement Groups, the printer is the default printer and needs changing the properties to print to landscape.

If they use Print Financial Statements with the Designer, the period is defaulted to current and needs to be changed.

Is there a way to automate this?

If the statement is formatted as landscape in the Designer, it should print as landscape to the default printer without any intervention. I tested this with your 2nd option, Statement Groups, and it worked here.

You are right, I got mislead because the printer selected is the default printer not the assigned to the report and if you check the properties, the portrait layout is selected. I guess they just need to change the destination printer, anything else is setup already.
