Very embarrassing. Due to my own stupidity, I neglected to close Year End in both the Invoices and AR programs. Did some invoices for January 2013 in Invoices and Cash Batch in AR. Realized yesterday what I had done (while I was in the Invoices) and decided to archive the January 2013 batch, did it wrong and tried to correct it which made matters worse, the batch in the Cash (AR) can be deleted if I have to. I have a backup of the Invoices for December 2012 but not one for the AR do I have to restore AR as well as the Invoices or can I restore the invoices only? If so how?

Can you restore Invoices and not AR, in the right circumstances, yes. Should you without the direct assistance of an Adagio expect to make sure the circumstances are correct, no.

Based upon your description, I would say that some investigation is going to be required to determine the best way to sort this out. That investigation can only be done with direct access to he data.

Do you have an Adagio consultant? If one of my clients contacted me with such a situation, I would log on, determine how to make things right, and then suggest an approach for fixing everything. It would be unlikely they would have to restore from a backup.

Yearend processing in Invoices does almost nothing and is not a big deal if you forget. Yearend processing in Receivables also doesn't do much more than period end processing, mostly it resets the batch numbers back to 1 and it clears out the YTD statistics. However, with a useful add-on called Toolkit for Adagio, you can recalculate the YTD statistics as if yearend had been done at the right time.

Restoring from a backup is a last resort and should be avoided if at all possible.
