Most reports have an output process which defaults to “Printer” which means the user has to select something else everytime.

Is there a place to set this so that the default destination is something other than "Printer"...

Use Adagio ePrint and turn on "Paperless" under User Preferences and the output will be automatically named and filed in a Folder as a PDF.

Thank you for the recommendation however my question stands.

We are not looking for a work around - the user wants to change the default from printer to file.

Is their a way?

No, the default is always printer.

And, I suspect, which would then default to your "Windows Default Printer" which could be something green.

I believe the "user" will soon get tired of entering a "file name" for the green output.

Good point - I am pretty sure the PDF engine we use provides a default file name so, hopefully the users will just be able to hit "Ok, Ok, Ok" kind of thing.

Does the built in Adagio PDF writer allow for a preview right after the file is created w/o keyboard input?

Adagio ePrint is a "solution" NOT a "work around".

When using Adagio ePrint to generate PDF outputs of reports, there are options to allow immediately opening the PDF to view without any mouse-clicks, or opening the folder in Windows Explorer where the PDF was saved. These options can be set on a report-by-report and user-by-user basis.
