Retrieving accounting data from simply accounting with Adagio FX is giving me the following error message:

Unable to locate the database driver, "MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver"

The data I am trying to retrieve is Simply Accounting 2012.

I did install the new Simply Version "Sage 50" and in the process of test driving it. I retained Simply 2012 so I can work with client files before upgrading their data to Sage 50.

Thanks

If FX was working on this machine previously and now it is complaining that it can't find "MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver" then something must have moved/deleted the driver.

Maybe installing Sage 50?.

Can you still access the Simply 2012 data?

Yes, I can access all my 2012 data files, with SA 2012. I have updated one file to Sage 50 and it works fine.

Hi, we have a client who installed Sage 50 and now gets this same error when trying to retrieve Sage 50 data to FX. He has Windows 7 XP Pro 64 and FX 9.0B (120113)HF. Did re-installing Sage 50 work for you? Thanks!

With client's permission, here is how he fixed his problem:

"For you own reference here is what I believed happened and what I did. When Simply was upgraded it modified or deleted the .dlls files for the Adagio ODBC Driver. I went into the registry found the path pointing to the necessary .dll, followed the path and there was no .dll file as referenced in the registry key. I then deleted the registry entry for the Adagio driver, restarted the computer. After that I ran a repair through the Adagio installer and restarted to allow the ODBC to see the new ODBC connection driver update. After that Adagio was able to use the ODBC connection and retrieve the data."
