Hi
I imported some inventory adjustments. I received no errors and when I opened adjustments everything was correct but the date. All the dates were '11/21/2004'. The date I imported was '7/31/2012'. What's the proper date form for importimg? (8.1D (120126)

Thanks

Update: Not me. I tried a few more dates and am getting consistently 2809 days less than the date I want. So I added 2809 days to my date (07/31/2012 becomes 04/09/2020) but then import gave me an error of no such date. Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

The format for the date import is defined in the Import Template. I think we support all possible permutations.

Are you importing from CSV or Excel? If you are importing from Excel, have you defined the column as a Date field?

Importing from Excel and yes the column is defined as a date field. I've now excluded the date field altogether (I thought it was required). The import works fine and uses today's (07/31/2012) date. Problem solved. Thanks

Imports are always fiddley, but there's almost always more than one way to acomplish the task.

Glad it's working for you now!

Sorry Andrew,
You have such a good help system built into the program and I didn't even bother using it. If I had, I would have found out that there were four date formats to choose from and the wrong one was selected. Selecting the right one (User Specified) would have saved me much grief.

Mike
