How do you uncompress a cheque printing... the whole cheque spec is compressed... everything else prints normally, like in MSWord and test print as well as reports...

Hi,

Is this something that just started happening using this particular cheque spec? Did the individual just get a new workstation? Is it all pushed into one corner?

Specifications remember the Unicode settings from the last workstation they were edited on. Is there a workstation from which the cheque spec prints correctly on? If so, in the Control Panel for Region and Language settings, under Administrative, note what the Unicode language setting is on the workstation from which the spec is printing properly. Then, on the workstation having the problem, determine what its Unicode setting is. If it's different than the 'good' workstation's, change it so it's the same and then restart the workstation. The problem should go away.

yes, there is a new workstation and that's when the problem started and yes it's pushed into one corner, like someone shrunk the print settings

I'll try and see how it goes, thanks

Once you have confirmed the Unicode setting, there is another setting to check. On the Windows desktop, right-click on a blank portion and choose "Screen Resolution" from the menu that appears. Then click on "Make text and other items larger or smaller". There are 3 choices. Adagio requires "Smaller (100%) Default". Click on the "Apply" button to save the change. Close and re-open any Adagio modules.

As technology allows screen resolution to climb and age mandates that our eyesight declines, some people choose "Medium". Not only does that shrink the printing of forms (ie cheques, invoices), it also makes the Adagio entry screens look jumbled with buttons and fields not fitting. If screens are too hard to read, adjust Screen Resolution to a lower number.
