Do you think we will ever have the option to attach pdfs to customers in A/R? I'd love the option to be able to attach completed credit applications directly into a customer's file.

Yes - but there are complexities to automating the process. At the moment I would suggest saving the PDF's in a known Folder with the customer number as part of the document name. Then, save the Folder and document name in the "Additonal Comments" section of the Customer notes, or use an optional field for the Document name (on the assumption that all these PDF's will be in the same Folder).

Are you scanning a completed piece of paper, or receiving the credit applications electronically?

There is a solution already available to do this called Smart Records for Adagio.

Our product SmartRecords for Adagio brings in or refreshes records one way from Adagio to SmartRecords. It interfaces with the following Adagio modules:

Receivables - a SmartRecords record is created for each customer in Receivables
Payables - a SmartRecords record is created for each vendor in Payables
Job Costing - a SmartRecords record is created for each job in Job Costing

If you are interfacing with more than one Adagio module, then you can setup diffrent record types in SmartRecords corresponding to the different modules.

Once records from Adagio are set up into SmartRecords then you can use the powerful features of SmartRecords to manage all your ancillary information and documents relating to your customers/vendors/or jobs as follows:

Unlimited data fields
Unlimited documents
Compliance management and exception reporting on particular fields or documents
Demographics reports and charts
Etc.

You can also use the same copy of SmartRecords to setup additional record types for non-Adagio items, for example:

Vehicle fleet or any type of assets
Employees
Complaints management
Case management
Special investigations
Product information
Plant maintenance
Etc.

A BIG thing would be the ability to drill down from GL expense accounts right to a scanned copy of the invoice(s) that gave rise to the expense. Probably a technical monster to do, so it probably belongs on the dream list, not even on the wish list.
