A user uses the JC Contract Number field to record their customer's job number. They want the contents of that field to print on invoices created out of Invoices. Right now they have to manually key in the number each time.

Is there a better approach? If not, as a suggestion to Softrak, could you please add the JC master fields as spec codes in Invoices?

Thanks

Steve

Hi, Steve,

When they enter the Job information on the Header tab in IN, it will automatically populate the same field in the details (unless they choose to change it).

The specification Header Misc. Info codes J001-J003 print the job info as entered on the header. The Item codes D068-070 print the job info as entered on items.

The Job fields only appear in IN data that is integrated with AJ.

Oy, sorry, Steve.

I see now that you were referring to the AJ Control Number that is entered within the Job in AJ, not just using the terms interchangably. I can enter a suggestion to R&D for this; however, if it is not entered onto the Invoice, IN has no way of knowing about it. As such, they'll have to use another field (eg. a Optional field) to enter the information, which is probably what they are already doing, and then it could be reported for the invoice on the spec.

Yes, but this is double-entry, which is not an elegant solution.

Please enter the suggestion, not just for the Contract Number field, but for the other JC master text fields (Job description)

Thanks

Steve
