Is there a way in Adagio Ledger to change the period of the total batch (all lines) by one edit change rather than editing each line of a batch.

Hi jhenry,

Yes, there is a way to change the fiscal period or date of all entries within a batch.

In any Adagio program, you have the opportunity of Copying batches. Select the batch for which you want to change the Fiscal period, and click the Copy button. On the screen that appears, you can choose to update either the Fiscal Period, the entry date, or both. This will create a new batch with the updated information.

In addition, there is a 'Move batch' option, which in effect deletes the original batch after performing the copy. If you do not want to keep the original batch, use this option.

You may use Shift- or Control-click to select multiple batches and perform the copy or move on all batches at once, rather than just one batch at a time.

You can also do this from within a particular batch, copying/moving individual or multiple entries to a new batch or within the same batch.
