Dear Forum,

Created a Crystal Report and deployed under Invoice Report tab.

However while the report prints OK, I am getting the following message which i need to eliminate, i am linking on 3 table so it comes up 3 time before the parameters and 3 times after.

Here it is:
[[[ Error opening File - File could not be opened QIglobxxxx,
at file location f:\xxxxxxxxx ]]]]]

as I said it prints of after but the messages has the client edgy...also me...

Any suggestions welcomed...

Does this error happen for all users of Adagio Invoices, or just this particular user? In case network or workstation rights is involved.

Presuming that the client has Crystal Reports installed successfully on their workstation, can they open and print the report from the Crystal Reports designer without errors? If the same errors occur here, the problem is in the report itself.

In your other posting, you indicated that Adagio Invoices version 9.0 was in use. Crystal Reports need to use the 9.0 report tables (QIW90 or QIB90 tables) and not the older ones (QIW80 or QIB80). Make sure that your report has the right tables.

If the report prints successfully in the Crystal Reports designer, but not from the Custom Reports fly-out menu within Adagio Invoices, the usual culprit is that some feature exists in the report that is allowed in Crystal version 8.5 but not supported in Crystal version 7.0. The usual symptom of this scenario is not an error message as the one you reported, but the report just doesn't print.

Are you able to print the report from within Adagio Invoices in your office from your workstation, on a copy of the data, using the same version of Adagio Invoices? Again, just to confirm that workstation/network setup or rights are OK.

Finally, try running the \softrak\system\chksys.exe utility to see if it finds any problems identifying the Adagio Invoices report tables, or if they are out of date and not successfully updated from an installed upgrade.
