The bitmap file is a temporary file used in the phase 1 check to look for orphan records (records in the data file but not in the index). It is created in the data directory. As it is a temporary file, there is no risk to your accounting data. However, despite that fact the DataCare appears to finish properly, the results of the integrity check may not be reliable given this message.

We have not seen this message before from other DataCare sites. We suspect the problem may be related to the network configuration or hardware, perhaps the network interface card (NIC) on that workstation. Suggest you check configuration of the workstation. See if it is the same as a similar station without the problem, and adjust settings to be similar. Try swapping out the NIC.
