I am attempting to close out my general ledger. But, before I did that I wanted to make a copy so that I can access it later to print financial reports, etc. I backed up the general ledger and then unzipped the file into a folder named 2002 GL. Then I went back into General Ledger and opened up the 2002 GL database. I then went to financial reports to print out my balance sheet and income statement to make sure it agreed. I got an error message that said "Adagio financial reporter must be started by adagio general ledger". What did I do wrong?

Hi Holquist,

Adagio Ledger does not like the space in your directory name. Ledger Version 6.8B (021120) fixes this problem. What version are you running?

An easy workaround is to replace the space in the name with a dash or underscore.

Andrew, I took your advice and went into windows explorer and renamed the file folder to be 2002GL. I then went back into g/l using the new folder name and it works perfectly. Ledger 6.8B and the PTFs that have shipped includes many, many new features and enhancements, including awesome improvements to the Financial Reporter (there's none better at any price!). I think you'll find it worthwhile to install.
